| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The method involves determining a throughput of a back haul switch connected to a fifth generation(5G) indoor small cell (IDSC) (104), a throughput of the 5GIDSC, a remaining bandwidth for a fourth generation(4G) combo IDSC based on the determined throughput of the back haul switch and the determined throughput of the 5GIDSC and a throughput of a 4GIDSC. A 4Gcombo IDSC (102) comprises an access point and the 4GIDSC. A precision time protocol (PTP) bandwidth is associated with a PTP grandmaster attached to a network. A bandwidth is calculated for the access point in the 4Gcombo IDSC based on the determined remaining bandwidth, the determined throughput of the 4GIDSC and the determined PTP bandwidth. The calculated bandwidth is allocated to the access point in the 4Gcombo IDSC. The back haul switch is connected to an optical port of the 5GIDSC. USE - Method for allocating bandwidth for an access point in a 4Gcombo IDSC in a network. ADVANTAGE - The method provides daisy chain support for 4Gand Wireless-Fidelity(Wi-Fi) combo cell through a 5GIDSC, facilitates dynamic bandwidth allocation between 5G and daisy chain connected Wi-Fi, prioritization of precision time protocol (PTP) traffic from 4Gto 5G and the use of existing infrastructure of 4Gand Wi-Fifor 4Gand Wi-Fi and 5Gby reducing back haul configuration changes without additional cost and time for indoor 5Grollout and enhances the network and cost optimization.
