5. Project Name: Responses of Forest Soils to Climate Change in SE China. Approval Agency: Fujian Agriculture & Forestry University Fuzhou CHINA Main Works: Response of forest soils with respect to Green House Gas emissions and Nitrogen transformation is being estimated under different climatic conditions with the Fujian Province. It is a sort of Soil transfer experiment. Moreover, the dynamics of SOC to the predicted climate change has also been determined.

Project Name: Estimating heterotrophic and rhizospheric CO2 efflux in chronosequence of Rubber (Hevea brasilensis) Plantation SW China Approval Agency: Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden , Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Status: Completed Main Works: Heterotrophic and rhizospheric CO2 efflux in different aged Rubber (Hevea brasilensis) Plantation of SW China was estimated to fulfill the requirement of the total carbon budget of the plantation.

Project Name: “Estimation of Biomass and Biomass Expansion Factors of the Dominant Forest Trees Species in Pakistan” Approval Agency: Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi Pakistan Main Work: Estimation of biomass for the dominant tree species sub-tropical and dry temperate forest of Pakistan was carried out. Their Biomass Expansion Factors were developed for further use in C stocking under UN-REDD program. Status: Completed
9. Project Name: Forestry Component in Integrated Watershed Development for Food Security and Sustainable Improvement of Livelihood in Barani Areas of Pakistan. Approval Agency: Austrian Development Agency, CGIAR Targeted Funding Main Work: The project was having integrated approach so for the forestry component main work was done by me. It includes afforestation of Forest trees and Grass Nurseries, People awareness program, Distribution of plants to farmers, Framers training for raising forest nurseries and forest measurements. The introduction of VET technology to control erosion in watershed areas. Status: Completed

Project Name: Estimation of C stocks in Sub-Tropical Forests of Pakistan Approval Agency: Higher Education Commission of Pakistan Islamabad under International Research Support Initiative Program in collaboration with Melbourne University Australia Main work: Estimation of Carbon stocks in the sub-tropical evergreen broad-leaved and subtropical Pinus roxburghii forest in Pakistan was carried out for reporting under the Kyoto protocol.
