This project is aimed at developing methods for constructing and rigorously studying attractors and bifurcations in specific piecewise smooth dynamic systems with complex dynamics. Such systems include a new three-dimensional piecewise linear system of Lorenz-type ODEs constructed within the project, as well as multidimensional piecewise smooth systems with bifurcations of homoclinic orbits to equilibrium states and limit cycles. The peculiarity of such systems is that they make it possible to explicitly obtain the conditions for the existence of chaotic attractors and their main global bifurcations.$The project will address the following specific tasks:$1. Construction and study of a three-dimensional piecewise smooth dynamic system that models the destruction of the Lorenz attractor through the formation of Smale horseshoes.$2. Construction and study of a three-dimensional piecewise-smooth ODE system that models the transition to burst activity typical of neurodynamics as a result of a blue sky catastrophe.$3. Construction and study of a multidimensional piecewise smooth ODE system that models the dynamics of the central pattern generator.$All expected results are new and will be published in leading international, highly rated peer-reviewed journals, which guarantees their novelty.
